In order to offer even better conditions for steel scrap purchase to its customers, KUUSAMET GROUP seeks continuous development, so it acquired UAB KUUSAKOSKI at the end of 2016, which was previously a subsidiary of KUUSAKOSKI OY.

Currently KUUSAMET GROUP manages 26 yards in Lithuania, and it is the largest steel scrap collection company in the country. Collection sites operate in all the most important Lithuanian cities and centres of region. Waste is sorted, shredded and recycled at each KUUSAMET GROUP steel scrap collection site. The company has acquired all necessary machinery, loading equipment and truck fleet. The work is carried out only by means of equipment of reliable producers (RIMO metal shears, HAMMEL shredders, MAN truck fleet and FUCHS, ATLAS and LIEBHERR loading equipment).

The steel scrap collected is exported by KUUSAMET GROUP to foreign countries. The company sells 40,000 tonnes of steel scrap (a full cargo ship) every 40 calendar days which is transported and sold in foreign markets. The steel scrap is mostly exported to Turkey, Kuwait and Egypt.
